How to Edit PDF in Word?

As we know, PDF is a good file format for sharing and exchanging documents, text formatting can be preserved exactly like a paper book when reading. However, you will find it is not easy to edit a PDF, as it is protected with owner password which means you cannot copy, edit or type text in PDF file. But there are occasions you need to reuse PDF content, as a matter of fact, Adobe Acrobat could allow you to edit PDF, but it’s too expensive and hard to use, fortunately, you can find alternative way – edit PDF in Word.

Below are some tips to edit PDF with Word.

 

Step1. Change PDF to Word

If a PDF is open to all users, you can change the PDF to Word manually, just press Ctrl+C to copy selected content and Ctrl+V to paste the content to Word document. This is the easist and most direct way to change PDF to Word, but it’s not easy when you have hundreds of PDF files need to chang to Word, especially when the PDF file contain complicated layouts, you cannot retain the formatting same as PDF viewing. So, this way is just for those who want to change few PDFs with only text content, they can edit PDF to Word easily.

 

The other manual method is to use Gmail. Gmail supports to view PDF in plain HTML and allows you to copy text content to Word files. However, this method is also time-comsuming, as you need to send PDF files to Gmail and then copy their pages to Word one by one.

 

Luckily, there are some useful PDF to Word converter available in the market, and most of them can batch change PDF to Word and allow you to edit PDF in Word. The most important one, they will keep all contents, such as text and layouts, even hyperlinks, tables and graphic objects like Line, Cureve and Rectangle could be preserved exactly from PDF files.

 

Step2. Edit PDF in Word

After chaning PDF to Word documents, which are editable, you can type or delete text now, just edit PDF with Word as you want.

 

Step3. Convert Word back to PDF

You can convert Word back to PDF format as you need, there is a tutorial on how to create a PDF.

 

Though it is a bit trouble to edit PDF in Word, but it’s really a way to save money.
