After a long time expecting for iPhone 5, and now iPhone 4s comes.
On October 4th, Apple released the newest version of iPhone – iPhone 4s. You may wonder, what does the “S” stand for?
Statements from Techcruch may indicate some clues. “When I ask Apple this (What “S” stands for), they’re vague in their response. They note that some people say it stands for “Special” or “Super”. Others say it’s for “Speed” — much like the iPhone 3GS, the successor to the iPhone 3G. Or maybe it’s “Storage” (this is the first iPhone with 64 GB option — and with iCloud storage). Or “Sprint” (this is the first iPhone to run on that network in the U.S.) Or perhaps it’s for “Speech” or “Siri”. Either of these last two would get my vote. The point is, the “S” can stand for any number of things depending on who is using the device. Here’s all I know for certain: this is the best iPhone yet.” And days ago when I heard the news of Steve Jobs’ passing away, some people also believe that the “S” stands for Steve, I’m one of those people.
Whatever, let’s see what the new iPhone 4s brings to us?
1. The A5
The biggest change is the new processor. It’s Apple’s own A5 chip, a dual-core delivers up to two times more power and up to seven times faster than iPhone4. And you’ll feel the effects. Fast. iPhone 4S is quick and responsive, which makes all the difference when you’re launching apps, browsing the web, gaming, and doing just about everything.
2. 8-Megapixels camera
The iPhone 4S provides a 8-megapixels camera – that’s 60 percent more pixels than the camera on iPhone 4. This just might be the best camera ever on a phone. And with all-new optics, it just might be the only camera you need. Because behind every shot, you’ve not just a got 8-megapixel resolution, but also a custom lens with a larger f/2.4 aperture and auto white balance of 24% better.
Also great is that the iPhone 4S camera can shoot 1080p video for the first time. The iPhone 4 is limited to 720p.
The unique device just for iPhone 4s, even the iPad2, which has the same A5 chip, doesn’t support Siri. And the Siri on the iPhone 4s lets you use your voice to send messages, schedule meetings, place phone calls, and more. You can easily ask Siri to do any things just by talking to it as normal way you talk. Siri understands what you say, knows what you mean and what you want, and even talks back. For example, if you ask “Do I need an umbrella?” Siri will answer back with the weather information.
To activate Siri, you simply hold down the home button for a little while (similar to the old voice controls).
4. iOS 5
The iPhone 4S runs iOS 5, the new version of Apple’s mobile operating system. Some of the new features in iOS 5 include iMessage, a free messaging app for Apple users, and a new notification panel that appears when you drag your finger down from the top of the screen, and a custom newsstand for keeping all your subscriptions in one place, and even Twitter is integreted in the iOS 5 to makes it eeasier to tweet from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
There are over 200 new features added in iOS 5, you just take time to find them.
Of course, there are some other top features like iCloud, with which you can stores your music, photos, documents, and more and wirelessly pushes them to all your devices. Automatic, effortless, and seamless
